The start of my story was kind of like a tragic novel, but I’m on my way to finding my happy ending! I was found on the side of the road. I didn’t know what happened. I was walking along then next thing I know I was laying on the ground in so much pain. Things are kind of hazy after that. I remember doctors and going through surgeries. Then I woke up and I tried to call out for help but I was just too weak. Then this nice lady came in the room and she talked to me and tried to explain to me what had happened. She said I was hit by a car, I was found and taken to the hospital and underwent surgery and that soon I would feel better. Now I’m all healed up! I walk with a hitch in my step, but they took such good care of me - I am in perfect condition with a bit of character. Everyone calls me an “old soul”. My favorite thing to do lay in the sun and warm my bones, it feels so good to me. I do like to play with other dog friends, just in short increments. My current foster sister will come and bounce on me when it’s play time. I’ll get up and play with her a little bit. Don’t tell her this, but I think I secretly enjoy it – it keeps me feeling young. I’m a simple girl and it doesn’t take much to make me happy. I really like blankets! The more, the better. I am just as content relaxing on my dog bed on the floor as I am in the bed with you. I sure would be an awesome addition!
