Howard is a hound mix who will be a medium sized guy and is currently 4 months old. Howard came to us NOT from very auspicious beginnings. Having lived a life full of neglect, Howard never had much contact with people at all for most of his life. He has however lived with dogs forever and therefore does very well with dogs both larger and smaller. Howard has made great strides in learning about the loving hands of volunteers since arriving at ASR but is still a shy guy who is going to need patience, time and lots of encouragement and reinforcement to blossom fully. Howard is best placed with another dog as he finds comfort in the guidance of others. He would do best in a home with a fenced in yard and a place that is his and provides a sense of security and routine. Howard is going to be a loyal guy for sure! Howard would do best with older and quiet children if there are any in the home. This guy deserves the chance of a lifetime to become a beloved family member!

His adoption fee of $450 covers all initial standard yearly vaccines, his neuter, his microchip and the first dose of flea and tick prevention.
