Meet Cedar, a cherished member of the Nut Crew. He and his siblings were rescued from a high-kill shelter in Downey, California, where their fearful mother faced euthanasia. The shelter was unaware of her pregnancy until she arrived and gave birth shortly after. ASR swiftly intervened to relocate this vulnerable family from the stressful shelter environment, saving their mother from being put down. Cedar  is the smallest of the bunch but don’t call him the runt. He is adventurous, courageous, and always determined to get shad he wants when he sets his mind to it. Rapidly growing, he is expected to reach a medium size of 40-50 lbs when fully grown.
